don't have any idea who is behind the green release , but reminds me a lot of steve bicknell as it is are a distribution company run by mark and josh (aka shatrax) , they operate out of the isle of wight (uk) and have about 15 labels under their wings..shatrax,primitive urges, blue print , blue spirit , void , cheap knob gags , solid groove , abstrakt dance , 4th wave , alien funk movement , texture , fracture.. ,as i have stated many times before they are pumping out the best underground deep/techno /house in the uk, recommended current releases are.. Green - ep (Green *1) 5 tracks of deep minimal techno , imagine the rhythmical drive of Jeff Mills 'purpose maker' crossed with the pure experimental minimalism of Robert Hood/Steve Bicknell Aubrey presents - ep (Solid Groove *6) Stinging 4 trax of deep devasting techno, onna multi styled detroit tip, from soulful 'Red Planet' groovers to pumped up hi tech jazz ala Dan Curtin , this is a killer ep. Aubrey & Ambrose - Texture Volume 1 (Texture*1) Solid Groove offshoot , beautiful deep techno/house , sorta Larry Heard meets Global Communication's 'NY Connection'. exquisite. Darkstar - Afroplan 12" (Abstrakt Dance *3) Produced by Colin Dale's brother - Trevor , he sure turns up the funk o meter on this one , 4 tracks of surging hi-hat driven detroit techno to rival Mike Banks ' Red Planet' series.chock fulla - soul. Paul Mac - Outerspace Obsession (Fracture*1) Very diverse collection of intergalactic planetary funk , 2 deep jazzy techno cuts and 2 lovely breakbeat fueled atmospheric stunners that Carl Craig would be proud of. Echo Motif - Arizona Falls (Mosaic*2) 3 tracker with 2 of the cuts going for the Shatrax deep groove attack, whilst flip is onna 'Plaid' style polyrhytmical downtempo tip with cool strings.

err..i have the test press as well (not that i'm being smug about it!) but the tracks are metropolis/obsessed/fear of expression/telefone 529 b12 are rarely discussed on this list and imho along with black dog are the finest british purveyors of 'pure electronica' , the worst move they made was signing to warp!, listen to their ' prelude' cd (b1209) to vastly enhance yer musical diet... the 'auto hangable''s were limited to 500 each , wasn't the remix of 'curve' white label only?
